Lawsuit By Robert Garvin Against 18º North and TVJ Over PM Holness' Big House Episode Resolved

STATEMENT ISSUED BY ROBERT GARVIN, TELEVISION JAMAICA LIMITED, ZAHRA BURTON AND GLOBAL REPORTERS FOR THE CARIBBEAN

On May 30, 2016, a programme named 18 Degrees North, produced by Zahra Burton and Global Reporters for the Caribbean LLC (the Producers), was aired on Television Jamaica (TVJ).

Robert Garvin issued a Claim against Zahra Burton, Global Reporters for the Caribbean and Television of Jamaica Limited alleging defamation.

Zahra Burton, Global Reporters for the Caribbean and Television Jamaica Limited denied that there was any defamation and had filed a defence in court.

Robert Garvin, Zahra Burton, Global Reporters for the Caribbean and Television Jamaica Limited are pleased to announce that all matters in dispute have since been resolved and a joint Notice of Discontinuance has been filed by the Parties.
