Jamaican Doctor Hospitalized Following Second Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine; Flown to U.S. for Treatment
A Jamaican doctor, who became ill following his second dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, has been flown out of the country for treatment.
The development comes after the doctor, believed to be in his 40s, “was admitted, among other institutions, to KPH (the Kingston Public Hospital),” according to his boss and Senior Medical Officer at the facility, Dr. Natalie Whylie.
Dr. Whylie cautioned that it’s not known if his illness has anything to do with the vaccine.
