There is always a tension in these arrangements, because once payment is involved, influence tends to follow. The reality is that ultimate freedom is rare, if it is possible at all. The ideal situation would be one where support can be provided without expectation, where funding does not quietly translate into obligation.

New revenue streams, to give it the capacity to be self financing, and a first ever Jamaica Press Institute for continuing professional development CPE were foremost. Succession destroys what it cannot take credit for. Then it is bemoaned why investigative journalism declined.
